Katrina Family Fun Day

Posted on 14 September 2005 by Editor

As previously reported, Scouts were finding creative ways to help out the victims displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

The SouthWest Georgia Council is planning a similar family fun day on Saturday, September 17th, at Camp Osborne. Eight Troops are sponsoring the event: inviting evacuees, planning the activities, and running the fun. They have numerous activities planned for kids, and even adults; according to Debbie Littleton, one of the leaders, “They can fish all day or they can go to different activities, crochet, horseshoe, we have a nursery set up also.”
