Boy Scouts stuff Ballot Box and take $1,000

The Kodiak Daily Mirror ran a story about a recent fundraiser for area Non-Profits where Boy Scout Troop 626 went home with $1.000. The Barn Dance event allowed people to who paid at the entrance one vote for their favorite charity and once inside attendees were allowed to purchase more votes for their favorite charity. The non profit that recieved the most votes won a cash prize.

Steve Paulson, Troop 626 Scoutmaster, said the money would be used for a high adventure trip next summer.
