A Series of State Shaped OA Patches

Posted on 10 December 2007 by Editor

John Pannell of The Internet Guide to Order of the Arrow Insignia, has started a series of posts dedicated to his collection of state shaped Order of the Arrow Patches.

“Several years ago at a Pre-NOAC TOR I saw an exhibit that caught my attention. The exhibitor was constructing a map of the United States with patches shaped like each of the 50 states. While he could not complete the map, he was able to show most of the states in cloth. In a similar vein, I’ve been trying to see how close I could come to making a list of the states, as portrayed on OA patches.” -John

Even if you aren’t into patch collecting I’d encourage you to read the series as each post has been very informative. While he is not going in any particular order, here are the states that he has covered in alphabetical order:

Alabama
Arizona
Colorado
Connecticut
Florida
Kentucky
Montana
North Carolina
South Carolina
Tennessee
Virginia

More to come???

Update 12/21/07: John has added Massachusetts to his series.
