Kampgrounds of America’s CEO, Jim Rogers, is no stranger to Scouting. According to the KOA website he is one of 10 Eagle Scouts in his family, he currently serves as Vice President of Finance for the Western Region, and is a recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Award.

“KOA and Scouting share many of the same values,” Rogers said. “We’re so proud to be able to offer a program that will provide Scouts more opportunities to experience the joys of time spent outdoors. Scouting is all about personal growth, and there are so many things Scouts can experience on a KOA campground that will enhance this growth.” – Jim Rogers, KOA CEO

    1. David Lagesse Says:

We sometimes use KOA when we drive to Philmont as a convenient place to overnight while traveling.
Sometimes the tent campsites were very small, for a group of just 7.
Other than that the accommodations were adequate.
If you arrive after dark and leave early in the morning don’t expect to use the pool, it’s closed.
