Kid Rock Helps Out Scouts After Trailer Theft

Posted on 16 May 2008 by Dan

Singer Kid Rock saved the day for Troop 631 from Oviedo, Florida. The Troop had it’s trailer valued at $5,600 and approximately $4,000 worth of camping equipment stolen from its Chartered Organization parking lot. After reading about how the theft may jeopardize the Troop’s summer expedition to Tennessee, Rock decided to give them $10,000 of his own money.

A Troop Leader confirmed that Rock’s donation would cover the the cost of replacing the stolen goods and any extra money would go to other charity’s in the community.
