What do we have to do to make sure they get a certificate? I can’t find that info anywhere.

I believe that if you are working at a designated site, the site coordinator will handle the certificates.
I was able to find a copy of the 2008 certificate online, if for some reason your site doesn’t have them. http://www.publiclandsday.org/pdf/NPLD2008certificate.pdf
