The Home Depot stores of Southeast Michigan have selected Camp Teetonkah of the Great Sauk Trail Council as its fourth recipient of foundation funding for 2008.

District Community Affairs Director, Ms Judy Custer, reported that $7,000 in funding would be provided for purchasing landscaping materials for the Camp Teetonkah Weatherwax Program Center and for painting three other buildings.

Along with the funding, an estimated 150+ Home Depot associate employees from Midland, Bay City, Jackson, Lansing, Novi and 20 other surrounding stores including the Support Center and Management teams in Livonia, will assemble at Camp Teetonkah on Thursday, October 2nd to supply the manpower for the projects.

The Brighton Home Store has the lead in organizing this effort.

Each year Home Depot funds and supports four major projects in an effort to give back to the communities in which they conduct business. Benefactors of the funding for 2008 include the Swan Valley School in Saginaw, the International Academy of School in Saginaw, the YWCA in Flint and the Great Sauk Trail Council.
