Jeremy Yamaguchi, Order of the Arrow Section W-C2 Chief, was elected to the Placentia City Council. At 19 years-old, he is one of the youngest elected officials in the city’s history. According to OC Register, Yamaguchi was the top vote getter with 7,673 followed closely by Connie Underhill with 7,473. He will be serving on the City Council while continuing his enrollment at California State University Fullerton nearby.

I agree. I enjoy reading about young folks being elected to school boards, city councils, etc. I think all of these governing bodies need a youth perspective at times.
