The National Jamboree Medical Team has notified participants and staff members that the personalized, bar-coded medical records for the Jamboree have been delayed. (It was unclear if participants recieved an email directly, or if the Council’s were notified. All staff members should have recieved, or will be shortly, the below message.
The Jamboree team is working with our contractor to expedite delivery of your personalized, bar coded medical record for the Jamboree. Deployment was scheduled to begin on July 27th. We are working with the contractor to provide an enhanced medical record to insure that the information you provide is readable by the medical service team. We feel that a slight delay to make this the “BEST, most EXCITING, FUN-FILLED, SAFEST, jamboree EVER!” is worth a short delay.
Once the records begin to go out it is expected that the distribution will take several weeks. If you have an expectation that you will receive your medical form immediately, please understand that the email will be coming. We do not recommend scheduling a medical exam prior to the arrival of your personalized record. Due to the large number of medicals, they will not all go out at one time. The system will send out a duplicate if you have not turned in your record starting during the holidays.
