The Press-Enterprise has a story about a Scout’s Eagle Scout Project to assist in replacing an Elementary Schools book collection that was ruined last year.
Boy Scout Steven Pulsipher hopes a book drive will help Jacob Wiens Elementary School librarian Denise Beingessner replenish some 1,500 books ruined last summer in an indoor flood.
The 16-year-old West Valley High School junior says he could sure use the public’s help.
“If everybody were to just donate one book, that would really help out the school,” Steven said.
As part of his Eagle Scout project, Steven and other members of Boy Scout Troop 308 have set up book drop-off locations at Waldenbooks and Cameron’s Books in Hemet, as well as CM School Supply in Temecula.
