Henry Repeating Arms Introduces Licensed Special Edition Philmont® Scout Ranch Rifle

The Philmont® Scout Ranch Rifle celebrates the Boy Scouts of America’s oldest high adventure base and the largest youth camp in the world by size and number of participants. This Henry Frontier Lever .22 is offered with the Philmont® Black Bull logo embellished with an 18 kt. gold plate on the right side of the dark receiver cover.

The American walnut stock has a laser etched and hand painted rendering of the iconic Tooth of Time, with the words TOOTH OF TIME emblazoned underneath the mountain’s slope. On the forearm is the scripted word “Philmont” and the Philmont horse brand and cattle brand cut into the wood.

Tuck It In! Rap by Troop 1136

Last year members of Troop 1136, from West Jordan Utah, spent three months putting together a little rap.  The Scouts involved completed Cinematography merit badge requirements by planning and shooting the music video for the rap.

New Scout Executive of Northeast Iowa Council

Northeast Iowa Council Announces Scott Seibert to be Next Scout Executive

Paul Lewis, President of Northeast Iowa Council, has announced that Scott Seibert (@scott_w_seibert) has been hired to replace Dustin Farris as Scout Executive of the Northeast Iowa Council.

New Scout Executive of Northeast Iowa CouncilMr. Seibert joined Scouting professionally in May of 2002 as a District Executive for a rural, 4-county district in the Mid America Council. He has earned several promotions in this council, including Senior District Executive, District Director, Support Service Director, and most recently as Director of Support Service.

Mr. Seibert was the staff advisor for his council’s 100th Anniversary Jubilee. The event attracted over 7,000 participants.

He also was responsible for the development and implementation of a camp development plan following the tornado that killed several Scouts at the Little Sioux Scout camp. Mr. Seibert was among the group of Scouts and Scouters who were invited to meet with President George Bush following this nationally-publicized tragedy and subsequent camp reconstruction efforts.

Mr. Seibert is a University of Northern Iowa graduate. His wife Nellica is a second grade teacher and will be looking for a teaching position in Dubuque. They have two children, ages 5 and 3. Scott’s family will join him in Dubuque upon the completion of the school year.

Please Mr. Lewis in welcoming Scott Seibert to the Northeast Iowa Council Scouting family when arrives on March 1.
