Baltimore Area Council Marketing Scouting to the Community

This fall the Baltimore Area Council is receiving some great media coverage through several generous local media outlets who are underwriting publicity efforts.

Print Ads from our membership drive campaign “Words to Live By” and “BeAScout” will be run by Patuxent Publishing in 20 community newspapers and they will link us to their website.

The Baltimore Sun will run the same ads in open space as often as permits in their print and web publications including Maryland Family Magazine, newspapers in education, and Baltimore facebook moms.

WMAR –ABC 2 will provide radio time for short PSA’s and on air personalities who are Scout alumni and add our link to their home website and facebook page.

Clear Outdoor is providing billboard coverage at 60 locations throughout the marketplace this fall. Click here to view a listing of locations where you can see some of these billboards.

Clear Radio is providing air time for PSA’s and on air personalities, a website link, and a forum on their “Public Affairs Program”.

We also have a comprehensive marketing plan for our Popcorn campaign provided by our vendor Trails End. We have 30 bus tail and bus shelter signs throughout Baltimore County and downtown Baltimore running from 9/14/09 – 10/ 11/ 2009. In addition to Popcorn on Facebook and ads throughout October and 99 radio PSA’s 9/21/09 – 10/11/09 on WWMX – 106.5 & WLIF 101.9.

Thank you to our media friends who are underwriting efforts to make this possible. On behalf of Scouts and leaders in Central Maryland.Thank you for your support for Scouting!
