The Boy Scouts of America has announced the voluntary recall of the Cub Scout Recognition Kit (item #01804). The award which is given to Cub Scouts, who are usually 7 or 8 years old, has tested positive for high levels of lead in the paint. This recall may affect as many as 1.6 million of the badges, which are made in China. No illnesses have been reported. The badges are sold through the National Boy Scout Supply Group, and are supplied by Kahoot Products Inc., based out of Roswell, Georgia.
