Following the retirement of Jim Stone, Chicago Area Council Scout Executive, the Central Region with concurrence of the Chicago Area Council Executive Board, has chosen to delay the selection of a new Scout Executive for an undetermined period.

Mr. Dobbins will function in all aspects of a selected, locally employed Scout Executive, for this unspecified period of time. The appointment of Dobbins was announced in a memo to Central Region Scout Executives from Regional Director Bradley Farmer.

Dobbins has served as Associate Regional Director of Endowment since April of 2005. His prior professional positions include: Director of Development, Director of Finance Service, and District Executive in Indianapolis, Scout Executive in La Crosse, Wisconsin and Madison, Wisconsin.
