February 1st, 2009 is being advertised as Scout Day with the University of Wisconsin Badger Women’s Hockey Team, however its more than just free admission for Scouts in uniform.
Kids 12 and under are taking over the Kohl Center, when the Women Badger Hockey team takes on Ohio State at Noon on Sunday, February 1st. Kids have until January 23rd to register to perform various duties around the Kohl Center, including being a stick kid, puck kid, PA announcer, DJ, camera operator, or video board operator. Those chosen to participate will be contacted the week of January 26th.
In addition to the “Kids Take Over the Kohl Center” and free admission for any girl or Boy Scouts wearing their uniform, the first 750 fans to arrive at the game will receive a free Wisconsin Women’s Badger Hockey drawstring backpack, courtesy of Becker Law Office.
Then, after the game, all fans are invited to take part in this year’s Badger Women’s Hockey “Skate with the Badgers.” Fans can lace up their skates (bring your own) and hit the ice to get autographs and pictures with your favorite Women’s hockey players.
