Winner of We Are Americans, We Are Scouts Contest

On December 3rd, 2008, Scouting News announced a contest to win a signed copy of We Are Americans, We Are Scouts, today we announce the winner!

We Are Americans, We Are Scouts by David C. Scott highlights the words of Theodore Roosevelt that resonate with everything the Scouting movement stands for. Read Scouting News’ full review of We Are Americans, We Are Scouts.

There were 23 entries to the contest, which consisted of sending an email with the subject line of “Theodore Roosevelt”. Each entry was assigned a number based on the order it was received. Then a random number was picked with the help of Random.org. The number selected was “10”.

The 10th entry, and the winner of the contest was: Laura B. from South Dakota. An email was sent to her to arrange for the book to be mailed to her.

A big thank you to everyone that entered, as well as Red Honor Press for providing the signed copy of We Are Americans, We Are Scouts. Hopefully this is the first of many contests here on Scouting News!
